ACE Abroad Chile – Academic and Cultural Experience Chile – was born from a deep passion for education, meaningful travel, and intercultural exchange. Founded by experienced professionals in the fields of international education, linguistics, history, and cultural program coordination, our organization seeks to offer more than just a visit – we create transformative experiences that promote learning, critical thinking, and human connection.

The ACE Abroad Chile team is led by professionals with extensive backgrounds in higher education, international program coordination, linguistics, and history. We bring a wealth of experience in organizing educational initiatives for students, scholars, and institutional partners from around the world.
We understand the importance of designing programs that are not only logistically sound, but also intellectually stimulating, culturally sensitive, and profoundly engaging. Every member of our team is dedicated to providing an experience that embodies professional integrity, academic rigor, and the warmth of Chilean hospitality.
Felipe Gamboa
Program Manager | History Professor

Felipe is a dedicated historian with a deep understanding of Chile and Latin America’s cultural and political heritage. As Program Manager, he leads the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of all experiences. His historical expertise enriches our programs with depth and context, while his leadership ensures each experience runs smoothly from start to finish.
⚽ Fun fact: He’s a lifelong fan of Santiago Wanderers, the Valparaíso football team (soccer team), and an all-around sports lover — although, funnily enough, he doesn’t actually practice any himself!

María José brings extensive experience in higher education, linguistics, and international program management. As the Academic Lead of ACEA Chile, she oversees the design and development of each program’s educational content, ensuring academic rigor and cultural relevance. Her passion for language, intercultural learning, and curriculum design drives the intellectual core of every experience we offer.
🎉 Fun fact: She’s a tattoo enthusiast — she has over 10 tattoos (and counting)! Each one tells a story.

Sebastián combines his technical expertise with a creative vision to manage ACEA Chile’s digital presence. He is responsible for the development of our website, social media, and digital outreach, as well as the smooth integration of technology into our programs. His work ensures that our communication is as engaging as our experiences.
🕹️ Fun fact: He’s passionate about guitar and music, and he researched the relationship between computer science and music composition. He’s also a huge fan of video games, especially World of Warcraft (WOW)!
